1973: Co-Founder of UAD Laboratories, a regional pharmaceutical distributor. UAD's
headquarters and warehouse facility was located in Minden. UAD employed 150 people and
in the 1980's was acquired by a national pharmaceutical company — Forrest Labs.
1984: Acquired in Minden a wholesale fuel and lubricant distributorship that I owned and
expanded for 12 years. Sold business in 1996 which is still in existence today.
1997: Became involved in real estate development and management. All real estate
development was in Minden and South Webster Parish.
1996: Became a board member of PAM-LABS a regional pharmaceutical manufacturer and
distribution company. During my time on the board, PAM-LAB employed over 300 people
With sales in excess of $125 million per year.
2006: Became a board member of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership. This entity is
solely focused on creating jobs and encouraging economic investment across North Louisiana.
During my time on the NLEP board, NLEP helped many companies locate or expand their
business in North Louisiana, especially in Minden and South Webster Parish. These
businesses have created over 1,000 jobs and account for hundreds of millions of dollars in
new investments in our area.
I initiated the City of Minden's interest and membership in NLEP when it was originally formed.
Minden's membership in NLEP has been responsible for businesses located in SWID
Industrial Park and at Camp Minden. Companies such as Patriot Prop pants now Unim- Basic
Energy Services — Edge Summit Oil Field Services and Tiburon Associates.
2006: Serving as City Council Representative for District D, I have been able to accomplish
1. Secure street lighting for Tanglewood Subdivision to improve overall safety and quality of life.
2. Instrumental in negotiations with AEP/SWEPCO to obtain accessible and affordable electricity to Minden for the next 20 years.
3. Complete upgrade to Minden's Main Street sidewalks and lighting.
4. Substantial upgrade and expansion of the Minden Airport.
5. Provided in-depth council and input to City's financial affairs to insure stability and
2009: Served as a member for Minden Medical Center Board of Governors.
2011: served as chairman. During this time Minden Medical Center earned the distinction of being a TOP 100 Hospital. It is one of the largest employers of Minden and the surrounding area.
